The Sunyani District Court B has remanded three suspects into police custody over a chieftaincy dispute at Sampa in the Jaman North Municipality of the Bono Region.
The suspects Alhassan Issah, alias Crack (25); Luis Kwame Antwi, alias Erikay (24); and Yussif Ahmed, alias Plus 2, were arrested at different locations in Sampa on November 4 through an intelligence-led operation by the Bono Regional Police Command.
According to a police statement signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional Police Command, several accomplices are still at large.
The three appeared before the Sunyani District Court B on Wednesday, November 5, where they were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, causing harm, causing damage, assault, and stealing.
Presiding judge, Mr. Eric Danning, Esq., ordered that the suspects be remanded into police custody to reappear in court on November 10.
