Heart of Lions were held to a goalless draw by Karela United in their Matchday 12 fixture on Sunday at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
The home side, who had won all five previous matches at the venue, created several chances but could not find the finishing touch. Karela remained organised and defended well throughout the game, limiting Lions to few clear opportunities.
Heart of Lions came closest in the final minutes when they struck the crossbar and later had a goal disallowed. Despite their efforts, the breakthrough never came.
The result means Heart of Lions drop their first home points of the season but stay second on the league table with 23 points, level with Medeama SC. Karela United move to 17 points and sit 12th after 12 matches.
Lions will next travel to face Nations FC, while Karela United prepare to host Hearts of Oak.
