Ghana today commemorated the 41st National Farmers’ Day, celebrating farmers and fishers whose labour remains the backbone of the nation’s food security.
The event follows a week-long agricultural fair in Ho, which showcased modern farming technologies and innovations.
This year’s theme, “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future,” highlights the push for stronger food systems and greater consumption of local produce.
Established in 1985, Farmers’ Day has grown into one of Ghana’s most significant national events—celebrating the enduring contributions of farmers and fishers to the nation’s development and economic stability.
