The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), together with sister security agencies, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, staged a major Show of Force exercise through major streets of Accra to demonstrate their preparedness to maintain peace and order ahead of the festive season.
The coordinated operation started from the Black Star Square and moved through key locations, including Circle, Kaneshie, Weija, Kasoa, Tema, Ashaiman, and other adjoining routes within the Greater Accra Region.
Personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority and the Ghana Immigration Service participated in the drill.

According to officials, the exercise was aimed at boosting operational readiness, deterring criminal activity and assuring the public of the agencies’ commitment to safeguarding national security during the busy holiday period.
They described the drill as a routine inter-agency training activity designed to deepen collaboration and reinforce a strong national security posture against potential threats.

The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Gyamfi, was present, along with heads of the various security agencies.
