The team for Kennedy Agyapong in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer race has dismissed claims that he has attacked rival aspirants, describing such reports as unfounded.
According to the campaign, Agyapong has run an issue-based and non-confrontational campaign so far.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Joojo Rocky Obeng, Director of Elections for the Kennedy Agyapong 2026 campaign, said the campaign has strengthened significantly and remains focused on policies and ideas rather than personal attacks.
Obeng emphasized that Kennedy Agyapong has deliberately avoided jabs at fellow aspirants, stressing that unity within the party remains his top priority. He noted that this approach informed the naming of Agyapong’s campaign tour as the “Unity Tour.”
“The aspirant that Ghanaians believe has a solid message is Kennedy Agyapong. He has not stood anywhere to attack or downplay another aspirant,” Obeng said, adding that any reports suggesting otherwise are “hearsay and not the reality.”
He further stated that members of the Kennedy Agyapong camp have remained disciplined and aligned with the campaign’s issue-based strategy, despite what he claims are attacks coming from other camps.
