NPP Member of Parliament for Trobu, Gloria Owusu, has urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote massively for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on 31st January, as the party’s 2028 flagbearer.
In a post on her Facebook page, the Trobu MP shared how her constituents gave Dr Bawumia a rousing reception and endorsed him during the final day of his Greater Accra Tour on Tuesday, 6 January 2026.

“Yesterday, I had the honour of welcoming Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to the Trobu Constituency as he wrapped up his Greater Accra Tour. The event was tremendous, colourful, and highly insightful, sending a clear signal that NPP delegates are energised, united, and ready to win power in 2028 with Dr Bawumia as the Presidential candidate,” she said.
The MP added that the atmosphere during Dr Bawumia’s visit “reflected strong confidence, commitment, and belief in his leadership and vision for Ghana.”
“Delegates and supporters showed overwhelming enthusiasm and readiness to push the party forward. In a warm gesture of love and support, some delegates presented foodstuffs as a gift to Dr Bawumia, symbolising unity and appreciation,” she continued.

Ahead of the NPP primaries at the end of this month, the MP wished Dr Bawumia “continued success as we build momentum toward victory.”
“Together, we move forward for a stronger NPP and a better Ghana,” she concluded, urging delegates to “Vote Number 3” and “win with Bawumia.”
