The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted seventeen officers, including two senior officers, in recognition of their exemplary conduct, professionalism, and dedication to duty.
The promotions, according to a Facebook post by the Service on Wednesday, 14 January, form part of the Ghana Police Service’s ongoing efforts to reward outstanding performance and commitment to service.

Officers were recognised for their distinguished contributions, particularly in maintaining operational excellence, discipline, and commitment to the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, IGP Yohuno, accompanied by members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), congratulated the officers on their elevation and urged them to view their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility, leadership, and accountability.
He encouraged all personnel to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, loyalty, and service to the public.

The Ghana Police Service emphasised that recognising merit and rewarding excellence is a key strategy to boost morale and enhance effective policing across the country.

IGP Yohuno and the Police Management Board reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a culture of accountability and service within the Ghana Police Service, underlining that excellence in the force is both recognised and celebrated.
