Access Bank Ghana has officially commissioned its 57th branch in Swedru, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to expanding financial access and supporting economic growth in key commercial centres across the country.
The new branch, located at Mandela–Swedru, next to Pizzaman, is strategically positioned to serve individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), traders, and corporate customers within Swedru and its surrounding communities. The opening forms part of Access Bank’s broader distribution strategy to bring convenient, inclusive, and innovative banking services closer to customers nationwide.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Country Operating Officer of Access Bank Ghana, Ugochi Okoro, noted that the expansion reflects the Bank’s customer-first philosophy and confidence in the economic potential of the Central Region.
“The opening of our Swedru Branch is a clear demonstration of our commitment to meeting customers where they are and supporting their financial journeys. Swedru is a vibrant commercial hub, and this branch allows us to provide tailored financial solutions that enable individuals and businesses to grow and thrive,” she said.
Ms. Okoro added that Access Bank’s expansion is driven not only by physical presence but also by the Bank’s desire to promote long-term partnerships that contribute to sustainable development and financial inclusion.
Also speaking at the event, Stella Adu, Head of Distribution – Upcountry, Retail Banking, emphasized the importance of the branch in strengthening the Bank’s retail footprint beyond major urban centres.
“Our focus is to ensure that customers in growing towns like Swedru have access to the same quality of banking experience available in major cities. This branch brings convenience, efficiency, and personalized service closer to our customers while supporting local enterprise and economic activity,” she stated.
