The Start Well Conference 2026 at the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) will assemble church leaders, members, and the public for a two-day, mindset-shifting event to help them launch into the year successfully.
Pastor Mensa Otabil will headline the conference, along with gospel minister Joe Mettle, to help reset minds toward Christian leadership principles.
Reverend Obeng says Pastor Otabil’s leadership track record makes his message crucial for workers, leaders, and church members in charting Ghana’s growth path.

The Resident Pastor of Calvary Charismatic Centre was speaking ahead of CCC’s StartWell Conference, scheduled for Thursday, January 22, in Kumasi.
“At the start well conference, we have pastor Otabil who come Kumasi to propel us into the year. Workers, leaders and church members all need a word to help us do well in the year, happening on Thursday, 22nd January,” he said.
“Otabil has a track record and is passionate about leadership. And leadership is crucial to our country at this point. We want to develop as a nation,” he said.

The reverend weighed in, stating that the Christian community is failing to play its watchdog role in holding leaders accountable for poor governance.
“We have not held our leaders to the standards of leadership. And it’s not just a political problem but also includes, but not limited to, institutional problems, where members of the Christian faith are not managing well.”
“I think that one of the things this conference is going to do is to set our members' minds to the Christian and correct way of leadership,” he said.
