The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has reported a high level of operational activity in the latter half of 2025, underscoring its continued efforts to combat corruption in Ghana.
In its Half-Yearly Report for December 2025, the OSP disclosed that it is currently handling 79 active investigations, in addition to 161 other cases involving corruption and corruption-related risks.
The report further indicated that eight criminal cases are pending in the courts, involving a total of 33 accused.
Beyond criminal prosecutions, the Office is also pursuing 10 civil cases and has so far secured seven convictions.

The OSP said the figures reflect its expanding role in investigating, prosecuting and mitigating corruption, while promoting accountability across public institutions.
The Office reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing transparency, recovering misappropriated public resources, and preventing corrupt practices in both the public and private sectors.
