The 2026 Luv FM Fitness Walk drew a large crowd to the Kumasi City Mall, as individuals, students, social groups, and corporate staff joined the health and wellness exercise.
The event began with aerobics before participants set off on a nine-kilometre walk through Nhyieso, Adum, Asafo, Amakom, and the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, returning to the Mall for a final aerobic session.

“Keeping fit is one of our life-saving rules. And the walk has been very helpful. I see everyone engaging, and some fat is being burned. Aside from the exercise, we meet other friends and form alliances,” a participant said.
Another added, “This is my main source of exercise, so anytime I hear a health walk, I join. We are privileged to have called to join”.

Personnel from the National Ambulance Service, Prisons, Fire Service and other security agencies actively participated.
Ashanti regional PRO of the Prison Service, Chief Superintendent Richard Bukari, was enthused to have joined the event.

“The health walk has been very good. I’m very happy to be part of the walk. As security personnel, and as much as I know, if you’re not healthy, you can’t handle the inmates. In serving the nation, we just have to be healthy. This is one of the ways to keep healthy, so everyone should come,” he said.
The Global President of Opoku Ware School, Michael Adu Domfeh, urged organisers to hold the walk more often.

“It will be better if you get this thing going quarterly, at least twice a year. We will be there to give you the moral support and everything,” he said.
Luv FM’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Maxwell Frimpong Manso, was excited about the turnout and encouraged regular exercise.
“As part of the Luv FM team, I’ve really enjoyed the walk. We promise to try to do this maybe twice a year for the people of Kumasi. In general, I’ll advise people to do exercise three times a week. It’s a healthy thing for our body”, he said.
Municipal Chief Executive of Asokwa, Amoh Kamel, also appealed for the walk to be made a regular event and pledged the municipality’s support.
Sponsors treated participants to meals and giveaways after the walk.
The event was supported by Verna, DiDi Shito, Bigoo, Vim-Oh Champagne Energy Drink, Deduako Kodiekrom Youth Association, A.B.A Herbal Center, SAKAL Plantain Chips, Micvision, and Daud Herbal Centre.
