The Minister for Government Communications and Member of Parliament for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has donated 10,000 pieces of furniture to senior high schools across his constituency, in a move aimed at addressing longstanding shortages affecting teaching and learning.
According to a post shared on Facebook on Sunday, February 1, the donation, made on Tuesday afternoon, comprised 5,000 tables and 5,000 chairs distributed among all five public senior high schools in the constituency.

The beneficiary institutions are Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion School, Moree Senior High School, Asuantsi Technical Institute, Abakrampa Senior High School and Aburaman Senior High School.

Mr Kwakye Ofosu said the intervention had “all but wiped out” the acute deficit in desks and chairs in the schools, a challenge that has for years compelled some students to share furniture or attend lessons without adequate seating.

According to the Minister, the provision of the furniture is expected to significantly improve the learning environment and enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning across the schools.
