Karen Nyuiemedi Kemetse, Director for Diaspora Mobilisation and Special Projects of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Loyal Ladies, has donated medical screening equipment to the group’s Health Team to support preventive healthcare initiatives.
The items, which include blood pressure monitors and glucometers, are expected to enhance the Health Team’s capacity to conduct routine screenings during community outreach programmes, regional engagements, and public health campaigns.
The donation was presented at a brief ceremony in Accra on January 27 and attended by the President of NPP Loyal Ladies, Susan Amo, and the Director for Health Outreach, Ruth Akua Moda. Both officials commended Ms Kemetse for her contribution to community health promotion.
Speaking at the event, Ms Kemetse said access to basic screening tools plays a critical role in early detection and prevention of health conditions, adding that the donation was intended to help more people become aware of their health status in good time.

“Access to basic screening tools can save lives. I am delighted to support the NPP Loyal Ladies Health Team in ensuring more people know their health status early,” Karen Nyuiemedi Kemetse said.
Susan Amo noted that the equipment would strengthen the group’s outreach efforts, particularly among women, the elderly, and underserved communities. “This support empowers us to expand our reach and improve the quality of services we offer,” she remarked.
The Health Team, led by Ruth Akua Moda, is expected to deploy the equipment during free medical screening exercises, door-to-door campaigns, and regional programmes as part of the organisation’s social intervention activities.
