First Lady Mrs Lordina Mahama on Thursday held an engagement with her Zambian counterpart, Mrs Mutinta Hichilema, underscoring a shared vision of cross-border collaboration and women-led development.

The meeting, described by Jubilee House in a Facebook post as warm and forward-looking, provided a strategic platform for the First Ladies to exchange insights on their respective social development initiatives and to explore avenues for partnership between Ghana and Zambia.

Discussions centred on strengthening cooperation in community-focused programmes, identifying areas of mutual support, and aligning efforts to maximise social impact.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to initiatives that deliver tangible benefits at the grassroots, signalling a sustained focus on inclusive and people-centred development.

Mrs Mahama is in Lusaka accompanying President John Dramani Mahama, who is on a three-day State Visit to Zambia, aimed at deepening bilateral relations between the two countries.
