Fidelity Bank Ghana has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to inclusion through a series of community interventions in February, combining sustained institutional support with targeted acts of compassion across the country.
At the heart of the Bank’s outreach was a renewed donation to New Horizon Special School, where Fidelity presented GHS 20,000 to support the school’s educational and operational needs.
The Bank also shared boxes of chocolates with students and staff, spending time engaging with the children in what has become a meaningful annual tradition.
The visit marks over a decade of partnership between Fidelity Bank and New Horizon, reflecting a consistent investment in inclusive education and support for children living with special needs.
Commenting on the initiative, Director, Customer Experience, Comfort Armoo said the Bank’s commitment goes beyond periodic donations.
“Our relationship with New Horizon is not event-driven. It is built on consistency and shared purpose,” she said. “At Fidelity Bank, we believe that true customer experience extends to understanding the needs of our community and actively contributing to their well-being.
Visiting New Horizon every year, our goal is to make every member of our community feel seen, valued, and empowered.
A decade of partnership with this school isn't just a milestone; it reflects our core belief that inclusive banking must be matched by inclusive caring.”
The strategic value of this long-term commitment was highlighted by the management of New Horizon Special School:
“Consistency is the greatest gift an institution like ours can receive,” they noted.
“For over 10 years, Fidelity Bank hasn't just sent donations; they have shown up. The GHS 20,000 funding provided today translates directly into better educational tools and therapies for our students.
"But more importantly, when the Fidelity team walks through our doors to spend time with these children, they validate their worth. They remind our students and staff that they hold a special, enduring place in the heart of corporate Ghana.”
Beyond New Horizon, Fidelity Bank marked the season of compassion with a Valentine’s Day intervention focused on restoring mobility and independence.
Following an appeal from the Gbantana Community in Ada, the Bank donated wheelchairs to four people living with physical disabilities.
The absence of mobility aids had significantly limited the girls’ ability to attend school and participate fully in social life.
By providing wheelchairs, the Bank directly addressed barriers to education and social inclusion, reinforcing its support for good health, quality education, and reduced inequalities.
On the same day, Fidelity Bank extended its outreach to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital, where chocolates were shared with patients and health attendants.
For patients, the gesture offered a moment of warmth and connection within a healing environment. For health professionals, it served as recognition of their demanding and essential work.
In celebration of Ghana’s National Chocolate Day, the Bank also distributed chocolates across its branches nationwide, sharing appreciation with customers and communities while reinforcing its identity as a proudly Ghanaian institution rooted in the country’s cocoa heritage.
“These moments may appear simple,” Comfort Armoo noted, “but they are powerful reminders that corporate institutions have a role to play in strengthening social bonds.
"Whether through sustained institutional support or small acts of kindness, we remain committed to strengthening social and traditional bonds.”
Through these initiatives, Fidelity Bank continues to embed compassion, inclusion, and long-term partnership at the centre of its corporate social responsibility agenda.
