The Accra Regional Police Command has assured the public of robust security measures to guarantee a safe and peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr celebration across the region.
According to the Command in a statement, sufficient personnel have been deployed to strategic locations, including mosques, Eid prayer grounds, major roads, markets, transport terminals, and other public spaces, to protect lives and property.
Special traffic management teams have been assigned to regulate vehicular movement before, during, and after prayers and festivities, aiming to reduce congestion and promote road safety.
Additionally, patrol teams will increase visibility in communities to deter crime and respond promptly to emergencies.
The Police Command has urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel, and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
Motorists and pedestrians are also advised to adhere strictly to traffic regulations to ensure orderly celebrations.
The Accra Regional Police Command extended warm wishes to Muslims and the wider public for a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Fitr.
