The Achimota Golf Club is hosting the Lady Captain’s Prize 2026 today, Saturday, March 21, with golfers set for a day of competition and community impact.
The event, led by Lady Captain Louanges Mang, aims not only to reward excellence on the course but also to promote the development of golf among underprivileged girls.

Organisers say proceeds and activities from the tournament will go towards introducing and training young girls in the sport, helping to build confidence and creating opportunities for future talents.
The competition began with a rolling tee-off from 6:30am and will run until 12:00pm, followed by lunch at 12:30pm.
A prize-giving ceremony is scheduled for 5:30pm to honour outstanding performers.
The Lady Captain’s Prize forms part of efforts by the Achimota Golf Club to use the sport as a tool for social impact while strengthening participation in golf.
