The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Accra West Region, has informed customers and the general public of power outages affecting multiple areas due to a cable fault at Amasaman and scheduled emergency maintenance in the Western Region.
In a statement issued on Sunday, March 29, ECG noted that the current outage in the Accra West Region is a result of a cable fault at Amasaman.
Areas affected include Amasaman, Fise, Urban Roads, the Hospital area, Municipal Assembly, Lakisha Hotel, Slaughter House, China Mall, and surrounding communities.
To improve service delivery, ECG has also scheduled emergency maintenance in parts of the Western Region on Monday, March 30, 2026, between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

The maintenance work will result in temporary power interruptions in Dwenase, Kokokrom, Omanhene New Site, Mpomam, Wiawso, Susumenette, Old and New Adiembra, Kessekrom, Awhiam, Nsawora, and surrounding areas.
ECG assured affected customers that engineers are on standby to restore supply as quickly as possible once the challenges are resolved.
