On March 18, 2026, the forecourt of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation came alive with energy, learning, and smiles as Pepsodent commemorated World Oral Health Day with the official launch of its "Do the 2" campaign in Ghana.
The event brought together a vibrant mix of school children, health professionals, traditional leaders, government representatives, and members of the public; all united by a shared commitment to improving oral health across the country.
Pupils from St. Paul's Lutheran School, Kanda Cluster of Schools, and Aggrey Memorial School were at the heart of the celebration, filling the venue with excitement and enthusiasm.
The day was expertly hosted by renowned broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, whose passion for advocacy and engaging presence set the tone for an impactful event.

The occasion was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including a delegation from the Osu Stool led by Nii Adam Sorse, Osu Alata Tsindom Hene; SHEP Director Mrs. Theresa Oppong-Mensah; President of the Ghana Dental Association, Dr. Cecelia Kakrabah-Quarshie; Deputy Chief Dental Officer of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Shirley Newman; a representative of the Minister for Education, Director of Pre-Tertiary Education at the Ministry of Education, Nana Baffuor Awuah; and the Managing Director of Unilever Ghana PLC, Chris Wulff-Caesar, who addressed guests and reaffirmed the company's commitment to improving oral health outcomes nationwide.
Throughout the event, attendees were treated to engaging and educational activities designed to reinforce the importance of good oral hygiene. From interactive demonstrations to fun competitions, both children and adults actively participated, making learning about oral care both enjoyable and memorable. St. Paul's Lutheran School emerged as the overall winner of the competitions, earning a special prize package from Unilever Ghana for all students in the school.
A key highlight of the day was the collective recitation of the Pepsodent Pledge; a powerful moment that united everyone present in a shared commitment to better oral health:
"I pledge to protect my Ghanaian smile I will brush my teeth every morning and night For myself, my family and my community I will do the 2 with Pepsodent."
The launch of the "Do the 2" campaign underscores Pepsodent's mission to drive sustained behavior change by encouraging Ghanaians to adopt the simple yet effective habit of brushing twice daily morning and night.
As the campaign rolls out nationwide, it will be supported by a range of initiatives including school programs, community outreach, tele-dentistry services, and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as the Ghana Dental Association and Ghana Health Service.
World Oral Health Day 2026 was not just a celebration; it was a call to action. Through initiatives like these, Pepsodent continues to champion healthier smiles, one community at a time, ensuring that every Ghanaian has the knowledge and tools to "Do the 2" and protect their smile for life.
