Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has emphasised that younger business leaders must actively make themselves available for mentorship, describing it as a cornerstone for personal and national economic success.
“Younger business leaders must seek guidance with humility, show discipline, remain teachable, and value the benefit of experience,” Mr Debrah said.
“No one bears anything enduring by rejecting counsel. If you want to be successful, you must take mentoring seriously and listen to the seniors who have pioneered the same way before.”
Speaking at the Kwahu Business Forum 2026, he emphasised that mentorship is not an act of charity, but an economic strategy.
“It is how a country reproduces excellence, strengthens institutions, widens opportunities, and builds a sustainable economy of shared prosperity,” he explained.
For the next generation, receiving mentorship should be seen not as a favour, but as a duty to learn, grow, and build responsibly.
“If those who have climbed are willing to extend a hand, then those who are rising must also be willing to reach for it,” Mr Debrah added.
