The newest Ghana/Nigeria hit movie, ‘Shakira’, which co-stars Ghana’s Majid Michel and Nollywood’s pretty actress Mercy Johnson who played what is described as very hot and sexually provoking roles, is ready to hit the big screens this weekend.
The movie will be premiering at the National Theatre in Accra, Saturday evening with a red carpet ceremony.
Mercy Johnson is expected in Accra tomorrow to join the horde of other stars that will be gracing the event. Mercy confirmed her coming last Saturday on Asempa FM.
It is however not clear if she will be meeting the Ghanaian press upon her arrival. However, the premiering ceremony is promised to be a night of glitz and glamour as there will be some refreshing stage acts from Tinny and the hiplife group Runner.
The movie ‘Shakira’ is a story of Richie, a young lawyer (played by Majid) who seeks a new life far from his past, after seeing his fiancée in bed with his boss.
Attempts to forget that sight and move on led him into the life of sexy, desperate and ambitious hot lady, Shakira (Mercy Johnson) who is also looking for someone to use as an instrument to achieve her selfish desire to take over her late husband’s estate.
Directed by Pascal Amanfo, the movie is undoubtedly one of the hottest Nollywood and Ghana’s movie industries can boast of.
It stars other great faces as Kofi Adjorlolo, Luckie Lawson, Martha Ankoma, Eddie Nartey and Prince Dave Osei among others including Nigerian upcoming actress Bioga Ege.
