FIFA has officially closed the disciplinary proceedings against Premier League side Karela United FC, following confirmation that the club has settled all outstanding amounts owed to creditor Sana Camara.
In a correspondence filed through the FIFA Legal Portal, FIFA confirmed that the creditor had received the amounts due in accordance with the decision issued in the case referenced FPSD-23160.
As a result, FIFA has formally closed the proceedings against Karela United FC and permanently lifted the club’s ban on registering new players in connection with the matter.
FIFA has also directed the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to immediately lift the corresponding registration ban imposed on Karela United FC at the national level.
However, FIFA clarified that the decision applies exclusively to the ban imposed in relation to the Sana Camara case and does not affect or prejudice any other registration ban that may currently be imposed on the club in connection with separate matters.
The development clears Karela United FC to register new players in relation to the resolved case, following the settlement of its financial obligations.
