Nana Kobina Nketiah, Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Area in the Western Region wants politicians to imbibe the spirit of truthfulness as they pursue Ghana's development agenda.
That, according to him, is the only panacea to the many challenges facing the country.
He made the observation at a short ceremony to herald the inauguration of the Western Regional Branch of the Old Vandals Association (Alumni of the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana) on Saturday.
Though a paramount chief, Nana Nketiah’s allegiance to the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana was unmistakable.
Clad in his resplendent red kente, with a red scarf wrapped round the head, typical of all festive occasions of vandals, the chief paid glowing tribute to the enormous contributions students of Commonwealth Hall have made towards the development of the country.
He was hopeful the new association will lead the crusade towards making the Western Region the pathfinder in Ghana’s development.
