Popular Ghanaian Raglife musician, Mad Fish together with Kofi B and Papa Shee recently performed at two venues in the United States to raise funds for the Agogo Hospital and SOS villages in Ghana. The event organised by Royal Trade Promotion Ventures and The Ghanaian Association in Chicago took place at the Washington Park in Chicago and Sam’s Cafe in New York from the 25th to the 27th of September this year. The two concerts were under the theme: "Promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage in support of the needy". The Chicago concert coincided with the annual Ghana Festival and it saw thousands of Ghanaians in attendance. Bonna Addo, Executive Director of Royal Trade Promotion Ventures, co-organisers of the event in an interview with Myjoyonline.com said “We organised these concerts to raise funds to support both the Agogo Hospital and the SOS Villages in Ghana. We were hoping to raise between 500,000 to 1,000,000 dollars.” “We did two concerts in Chicago on the 25th and the 26th of September and in New York on the 27th,” he added. He said the event was also to offer the Ghanaian community in the United States an opportunity to meet and interact with their music idols. Mad Fish on his part told Myjoyonline.com that he was very excited to have been a part of the event which was for a good course.
