Police in Ashanti region have made what they describe as the biggest bust of marijuana in the region.
The 500 slabs of marijuana were concealed in a fuel tanker vehicle headed to Kumasi from Bono Ahafo.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the drug haul.
The arrest comes just a day after security officers busted a suspected drug dealer with 82 grammes of cocaine in Kumasi.
The police have been briefing the media from where Erastus Asare Donkor reported that the police intelligence that went into the bust should be applauded.
It was going to be difficult for anybody to suspect such amounts of marijuana will be kept in a fuel tanker.
The police quickly offloaded the substance from the tanker as investigations continue.
According Asare Donkor, the suspects attempted to bribe the police with 10,000 cedis but the personnel resisted the temptation.
The money is now with the police and is being used as evidence against suspects.
