Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy has revealed that he will be laying his mother to rest in September.
The artiste, who recently held a concert in honour of her late mother said preparations have started for his mother’s burial.
The 2015 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Award winner, said the #ForMyMama concert which came off at the Mandela Park in Ashaiman, a suburb of Accra on Saturday, August 8, 2015, was a prelude to a planned ‘Go Higher’ nationwide tour.
Stonebwoy’s mother, Catherine Satekla, passed away on Wednesday, July 29 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra after a short illness.
The #ForMyMama concert was graced by several musicians including, some Akoo Nana, Yaa Pono, Kofi Kinaata, and R2bees.
Speaking in an interview with Hitz News, the artiste expressed his gratitude to the hundreds of fans who thronged the venue in their numbers to support him.
“Thanks for the condolences and love shown from the media and everyone, I’m going to be strong as my name describes,” he said.
The artiste urged his fans to expect him in their regions soon, “The Go Higher concert just kicked off, watch out, catch me on my next location,” he added.
