Primary schools at Boana, Senya and Konkrompe in Nkoranza district of Brong-Ahafo are to benefit from the national school feeding programme.
Mr. James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, District Chief Executive, announced this when he addressed chiefs and people separately in the three areas to introduce the Member of Parliament for Nkoranza North, Major Derek Oduro (rtd).
He said the government would not relent in efforts in promoting quality education in the country and advised the people to support the government.
Major Oduro urged the people, especially the youth, to bury their political differences and rally together for the accelerated development of their communities.
He appealed to the unemployed youth to organize themselves into farming groups so they could obtain financial assistance from banking institutions to improve their economic activities.
At Senya, Mr. Eric Baffoe, Assembly Member, called on the District Assembly to construct a computer laboratory for students in Junior Secondary Schools in the area.
Nana Adusee Sarfo Kotoko, chief of the area, expressed gratitude to the MP and the DCE for the visit.
