Ever since her maiden appearance on 4Syte TV in December last year Nana Akua’s adventure into the entertainment world has known no turning back. She managed to host 4Syte TV for a while before she was joined by Wolf. Nana Akua’s exploits has attained international recognition and it came as no surprise when she was personally invited by Multichoice alongside the 4Syte TV Crew as the only Ghanaian TV coverage for the West Africa Idol in Nigeria quite recently. The beautiful and adorable Nana Akua Addo has many features. She was the second runner-up during Miss Malaika 2003 a position many who witnessed the show thought otherwise. She didn’t end her beauty exploits there. She left for the country of her birth, Germany, to continue her education and to contest in another beauty contest which she believes she has the well withal to win . As fate could have it she was crowned Miss Ghana Germany in 2005 which automatically earned her a modeling contract with Eddy Baower Modelling Agency for eight months. This contract was part of the winning package for the beauty queen and as she puts it; “the staff of Eddy Baower were very happy when I was crowned because they saw what was in me and wanted to work with me”. Nana Akua who speaks fluent German, Twi and a bit of Ga had to come back to Ghana because she feels her spirit, soul and body is in Ghana more than in Germany. She saw the promo’s of 4Syte TV and she instantly fell in love with the program. She added; “I loved 4Syte from the beginning and I am very happy and proud to be part of the team. 4Syte is unique and different in every sense of the word. We distinct ourselves from the rest with our excellent editorial works, content and packaging, style and setting, among others”. Nana Akua recall vividly when she couldn’t stand the heat anymore and had to walk to the 4Syte Studios to talk to Ignis. “I knew it would be hard getting the job but I wanted to showcase to the world what I have got and I think one platform was through 4Syte TV. I was auditioned together with other equally good presenters and I had my fingers crossed for I knew I had what it takes. “I was very shocked and surprised when I had a call from Ignis after a holiday trip to Germany asking me if I was still interested in the job. He wanted me to start my first assignment by covering the Sean Paul program and hey I grabbed the opportunity. I excelled and like they say the rest is history”. On her invitation to the West Africa Idol in Nigeria Nana Akua was beside herself since it was going to be a major experience and an adventure she had looked forward to. She was been given the opportunity to shoot from another country and the huge expectation placed on her made it difficult since it was her first major shoot ever since she joined the 4Syte Crew. “The Nigerians like us and we did deliver. The footage was there for all to see”. Because of the huge success she chalked advertising and modeling for Eddy Baower Modeling Agency Nana Akua has had her contract renewed with attractive packages. She is laughing all the way to the bank with a contract sum of over 30,000 euros approximately over three and sixty million cedis (¢ 360,000,000). She also has her health insurance package extended to a year subject to renew. As a photo model for Eddy Baower Modeling Agency; she would be solely assigned to their new product Bobby Brown and her image would be embossed on buses and billboards across the lengths and breadths of Germany, other European countries and parts of the Americas. As she puts it Bobby Brown is a product meant for the dark-skinned person and she hopes the product would be marketed here in Ghana for ladies in the country to exploit the side of beauty enhancement products. Nana Akua is scheduled to leave for Germany by the end of the week to append her signature to this mouth-watering offer. She would spend close to two weeks visiting her family after which she would head to Accra to continue her contract with 4Syte TV. On her future with 4Syte TV, Nana Akua who holds both Ghanaian and German passports sees nothing than excellence and big things to come in the near future. To her fans this is what Nana has for them; “the best of 4Syte is yet to come and the best of Nana Akua is about to be exposed. Just help me correct my shortcomings for I promise you nothing than the best of everything one can think of”. Nana Akua who has had some radio experience working for Kiss 97.2 Fm and undertaking voluntary work with other media institutions in Germany loves to be indoors watching movies or having a nice time with her boyfriend.
