The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has re-engaged SIMNET Ghana Limited to provide it with Online Lottery Services.
The NLA is hoping to boost its efficiency and revenue generation mandate as SIMNET would operate alongside the existing online lottery service provider, LOTS Services.
The NLA’s decision to renew its relationship with SIMNET follows a dispute between the two parties sometime in 2012.
The authority is confident the re-engagement would enhance customer access to its Point Of Sale Terminals (POSTs) by broadening its retailer penetration across the country.
POST Repair and Swapping Centres are to be established in all NLA Regional and District offices as well as selected markets, to ensure proximity of services and deliverables to LMCs.
NLA is also hoping complete all outstanding deployments this year replacing old POSTs for LMCs following the procurement of new POSTsbranded with the NLA logo for easy identification.
The authority is also assuring Lotto Marketing Companies (LMCs) of improved services such as payment of commission within a week after the end of the month and payment of wins from their business locations.
Since May 2015, tickets have been liquidated within twenty four hours after the draw unlike before where winners had to wait fourteen days to do so.
In the last five months, NLA has also introduced two new exciting products, Soccer Cash and Mobile 5/90, to the benefit of its patrons.
Soccer Cash was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to promote sports in the country whilst the Mobile Lottery Platform allows patrons to register and download 5/90 Fixed Odds Games applications onto their smart phones and play the games using funds from their mobile wallet.
