The atmosphere at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre was utterly turned into a haven of God on Good Friday night, which took music enthusiasts minutes to recall the fact that they were not in a church.
It was the 12th edition of Harvest International Ministries’ (HIM's) annually acclaimed and crowd puller, Harvest Praise music concert.
The 4,000 sitter Dome of the conference centre was filled to capacity such that organisers had to turn away many for lack of space.
Easter is a very unique and important event on the calendar of Christendom when their saviour Jesus Christ brought hope to world by dying on the cross and resurrecting on the third day. That was why many came to celebrate at the Harvest Praise 2010.
It was a night of passion and a period of sober reflection on what Christ’s death stood for.
It was the ever popular Vinesong who are referred the world over as ‘unique’ and ‘awesome’ who set the ball rolling. With 18 albums to their credit, they proved why they are known the world over. Popular songs ‘I Behold Your’, ‘Glory’, ‘Adoration’ gave the packed audience a fair idea of the excitement the event had in stock.
Harvest Theatre, the theatre wing of Harvest Chapel International took over the mantle from ‘Vinesong’. They did a short drama on a Roman soldier who loved to kill, but after the death of Christ, believed that Christ was just more that human but the son of God. He was welcomed in the Lord's fold afterward.
