Jennifer Aniston says she is not afraid of speaking her mind despite her current feud with US TV presenter Bill O'Reilly about single women having babies.
The Fox News anchor blasted the actress over her recent remark that "women are realising, more and more knowing, they don't have to settle with a man just to have a child."
The presenter declared the comments "destructive to society".
Aniston's film The Switch deals with a similar topic as the former Friends actress plays a woman who decides to become pregnant by artificial insemination.
But as the film premiered in Los Angeles, the 41-year-old said at her age there was no point stressing out about what the media think.
"You eventually let go of the worry about it," she said.
"Because, if you are going to speak every word that comes out of your mouth based on [how] the media is going to respond to it, I would be exhausted to no end."
Aniston added: "It also has a subject that's so unique and hasn't been discussed in movies and I think makes it topical. It makes it interesting."
Starring alongside Aniston is her off-screen friend Jason Bateman.
He plays her best friend Wally, who ends up switching the sperm of her preferred donor with his own at her insemination party.
Juliette Lewis also stars as Aniston's best friend.
The actress-turned-singer once dated Aniston's ex-husband Brad Pitt and during filming the pair shared a bond.
She said recently: "There's an obvious history we share but while we didn't share stories about Brad, we did have an instant connection and mutual affection. I love her."
Aniston's premiere in LA came as Pitt's current girlfriend Angelina Jolie premiered her new film, Salt, in London.
