Cheryl Cole fans have been queueing all night for a chance to see their idol in person at a book signing to launch her new memoirs.
The Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge will be signing copies of Through My Eyes at the Piccadilly branch of Waterstones in London.
One fan camped outside tweeted the star, who is apparently running late, has organised mugs of hot chocolate with marshmallows to be ferried out to those waiting on the street.
Cole has reportedly upped security for the signings after becoming concerned when she was grabbed by a fan in June.
It is understood the 27-year-old was also worried by an assault on fellow singer Leona Lewis last year when a fan slapped her as she signed copies of her book.
According to early excerpts, Cole's book makes no mention of ex-husband Ashley Cole.
She has included details of her relationships with dancer Derek Hough and musician Will-I-Am - but done little to clear up speculation they are more than friends.
Cole also talks about "finding her feet" after stepping into the spotlight on her own.
