The People’s National Convention (PNC) is urging “a sense of urgency” on the part of the government as it attempts to resolve the strike action by the University Teachers Association of Ghana.
A statement by the party, issued by General Secretary, Bernard Mornah, said the party found the development “very unfortunate particularly as far as achieving the nation’s vision of a middle-income status is concerned.”
The PNC says “a congenial work environment is critical to achieving high productivity”, in which regard worker motivation is crucial and called on the government and UTAG to iron out any remaining differences without further delay to enable students return to school.
