It sounds unbelievable but its not a hoax. A 22-year old Ghanaian woman has built a small aircraft.
Patricia Mawuli Nyekudzi’s plane has an engine capacity of 80 horse power.
She built the ultra light plane with support from Expresso and fellow students at the Aviation Technical Academy at Kpong.
She is currently flying the plane across the country on a test flight.
Joy FM’s Eastern Regional Correspondent Benjamin Tetteh reports the flight took off 6:00 am Monday.
According to him, Patricia, together with her co-pilot flew the plane off the Manya Krobo mountains.
She will make a stop at Sunyani before leaving for Wa on Tuesday. She is expected to return base on Wednesday.
