A new movie production house is set to hit the Ghana movie screens with delectable local and outstanding English productions this year.
Project Manager of the Iddynamyx Production, David Agyemfra told Myjoyonline.com the series of thought-provoking movies which undoubtedly will be issue and values-based will soon be out and will in no small way infect the industry.
“Most of the movies that I am looking to bring will be based on values, movies where people can learn and take something out of it,” he said.
One such side-splitting, insightful local movie titled “Obaa Pa Ne Hwai” is ready to hit the screens in the coming days.
It explores the sanctity of marriage and features local icons such as Rose Mensah, popularly known as (Kyeiwaa), Clement Bonney (Mr. Beautiful), Ebenezer Donkor (Katawire) who treat the subject in very humorous but intriguing manner.
David Agyemfra said the movie is just a curtain raiser for series of potential red carpets to grace the burgeoning industry in Ghana.
Next in line will be exclusively English, “FOOTPRINTS” an intriguing political thriller that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, he added.
Agyemfra who is currently based in the US paid glowing tributes to Shirley Frimpong Manso, for her invaluable role she has played in moving the industry forwards, and commended Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buare, Naa Ashorkor all of whom he said have taken the industry to another level
He was also full of praise for Ecow Smith Asante, whose advise he said has been very helpful.
