A BECE candidate of D.A Module Junior High School in the Ejura-Sekyere Adumasi district of the Ashanti Region cannot participate in the ongoing examinations if he remains in the hospital with leg injuries. The student, Tensu Rashid collapses anytime he tries to go to the exam hall to write the exam because of his ailment. As a result his teachers have requested the exam officials at the centre to invigilate the student at the hospital to enable him write the exam. But the officials have refused saying the examination must be written only at the designated centres. A teacher at the boy’s school who wants to remain anonymous told Joy News the exam officers ignore even the advice of the doctor. A GES official in the district who spoke to Joy News insisted that the candidate will have to be at the exam centre in order to write the exam. Source: Joy News/Ghana
