Iconic hip hop superstar Busta Rhymes has been named to headline the two-hour launch show for this year’s M-Net’s Big Brother Amplified when it kicks off Sunday, May 1. The legendary performer is jetting into Johannesburg this weekend to perform on the Big Brother stage on a night when the continent will meet the new Big Brother housemates. Busta Rhymes for decades has been setting the standard as a rapper and hip-hop icon, having collaborated with stars like Diddy, Pharrell, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown & Lil Wayne. He has also made several appearances on the big screen including roles in Shaft, Finding Forrester and Halloween Resurrection. His 2006 album, The Big Bang, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. Seen by many as a living legend, the artist recently formed his own record label, The Conglomerate, which he partnered with his artiste, J Doe and Reek the Villain on the soon to be released movie soundtrack of the Fast & Furious 5, This is How We Roll (remix).
