Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) is expectant of the timely approval of its recently modified Plan of Development – PoD expected to be submitted by the Jubilee Partners.
This, the Corporation says is crucial to facilitate the purchase of a mooring equipment required to offload crude oil from the FPSO.
Currently, GNPC is no longer be capable of offloading crude in a continuous and sustainable manner as it was originally designed.
Engineering work is currently underway to repair a turret bearing which got damaged last year on the vessel.
Speaking with JOY BUSINESS Chief Executive Alex Mould said the need for approval has become crucial following a recent proposed change in the offloading mechanism of the FPSO.
