The University of Ghana has suspended its mature student’s entrance examinations. This decision however does not affect students who took the exams in February for the 2011/2012 admissions, according to the University. In November last year the university cancelled the mature students examination following a massive leakage. Acting Director of Public Affairs at the university, Stella Amoah has told Joy News the suspension has nothing to do with the leakage. “You know an institution such as the University of Ghana is a dynamic one; periodically we have to re-assess our academic programmes and so the suspension of the mature students entrance examination is part of an on-going reassessment of academic programmes of the university. “Indeed the University is also developing new modalities for admitting various categories of freshmen and women and we will announce these in due course,” she said.
