After staying in the Big Brother Amplified House for a little over a month, Confidence Huagen was given a blast of a welcome at no where else but her own Aphrodisiac Night Club during her DSTV Big Brother Amplified eviction party on Saturday night.
Confidence, who stirred a great deal of controversy in the Big Brother Amplified house seems to have really missed home, her employees, clients and the buzz and fuzz around her office in Dzorwulu on most weekends and as she waltzed through the entrance of the club it was obvious she had been missed by her fans in Ghana as well.
In just her first or so week in the Big Brother House, Confidence, during an argument with Karen (one of the delegates from Nigeria), said she fed her dogs with chicken after Karen sought to get under her skin over a meal. Guess what, the argument was about chicken. So she just meant to spite the poor irritating girl.
It didn’t end there. She went on to perform a spectacular nude photo shoot that got many tongues wagging; a situation which got her into another hot argument with yet another housemate who felt Confidence should have acted as a role model to the younger ladies in the house.
You wouldn't want to know her response to that!
There was an interesting thing about Confidence throughout her stay in the House, and like it or not, she just was not willing to play the game of hypocrites, and that often got her on the wrong side of some housemates who interpreted her confidence and outspokenness to mean cocky, sassy or even worse, rude.
Then all of a sudden she wept in the chatroom, telling Big Brother she missed home, her dogs and her charming little boy who she plays an interesting love game with.
It was clear the entrepreneur was not feeling the love in the house and it was just a matter of time before the vultures came for her.
Week in week out she was nominated for eviction except when the Tales were up for eviction.
People actually thought she was going to be the first casualty in the House like her compatriot Ras Wayo, whose Panafricanist tantrums were met with a loud NO from Africa even before the real game could start two years ago.
Confidence held her own. She probably was a poor gamer but her personality was not tainted nor changed in anyway. She was herself from the first day she walked into the house, clad in the national colours until that hoarse and nervy voice of Big Brother ordered her out of the house (still clad in the Ghanaian colours).
When host of Big Brother Amplified, IK, announced her eviction, Confidence screamed, "I'm free from all you people. You guys will be hungry. Thanks for having me and my b***s**t. I am going home. I am going to have a Champagne,"
Oh wait, she added a prophesy too: that none of her "backstabbing" housemates (Heads) was going to win the $200,000 prize money. And she was damn serious about it. The world will wait and see how that prophesy pans out.
She may not have won the money but the dimpled cheeks lady says the money would have been good but the experience of living around people from different parts of the world and from different backgrounds with different characters (sometimes really irritating), is invaluable as she gets to deal with an array of people each day.
