The film premiere for the final instalment of the Harry Potter franchise is still a day and a half away but Pottermania has already hit London. Fans of the characters created by J.K. Rowling camped overnight in the pouring rain in Trafalgar Square ahead of the U.K. premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II on Thursday. And it is quite a sight to see as fanatics of the wizarding world have donned their robes and Hogwarts uniform in Camp Potter. The stars of the film, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint will take to the red carpet for the final time to see off the successful series and their loyal fans are already waiting for them with baited breath. Hundreds have pitched up in the area with many coming from all over the U.K. and even further afield with one group eager fans making the trip from Vancouver, Canada, to ensure they do not miss spotting the film’s stars. Emma Watson, who plays Hermoine Grainger appeared on Daybreak yesterday and spoke about the final film. She said that her lip lock with co-star Rupert Grint in the final film of the wizard series was the 'most anticipated kiss in history'. The 21-year-old, who plays Hermione Granger in the movie franchise, felt under pressure to make sure the kiss was worth waiting for. She said: ‘We've been building tension to this moment for like eight movies.’ ‘We were like, “People have been really waiting for this moment, and we have really got to pull this off.” And I was like “yes, I know. What are we going to do?”’ But she admitted that she thinks that she and her co-star ‘did alright’ on the smooching front. Daniel Radcliffe, who has played the title character and hero in the film has recently revealed that he developed a dependency on alcohol after being catapulted to fame portraying the much-loved Harry Potter. Radcliffe, who is estimated to be worth £48million, said that he turned to drink as he became increasingly ‘complacent’ about his role as an actor, developing a penchant for whisky and partying. I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,’ he told the forthcoming issue of GQ magazine. ‘There were a few years there when I was just so enamoured with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me.’ Source: dailymail.com
