Information reaching Myjoyonline.com is that members of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) are currently locked up in a meeting to discuss several issues relating to its work.
Top on the agenda is Yvonne Nelson’s ban.
The actress was formally banned by the film producers’ body November last year with the ban taking effect from October 2010 to October 2011.
There were reports in June that Yvonne Nelson had sent an apology letter to FIPAG asking for the ban to be lifted.
Top executives of FIPAG, Socrate Safo, Public Relations Officer and Helen Omaboe, National Treasurer for the association both confirmed the meeting to Myjoyonline.com Thursday afternoon.
When Myjoyonline.com contacted the officials at about 2 PM on Thursday, they confirmed that the meeting was still on-going and that they will discuss a wide range of issues including Yvonne Nelson's ban.
They said as much as they are deliberating on the actress’ ban, they are confident the ban will be lifted by the time the meeting comes to an end.
FIPAG has also banned Kofi Adjorlolo and Ekow Smith Asante for 24 months respectively.
More soon.
