Louisa Boakye, CEO of Excel Production, organisers of Miss Excel Plus, has denied allegations that she refused to hand over the prize package to the winner of the Miss Excel Plus event, Gloria Akotowaa.
According to the organizer, all the three winners had received their various prizes, adding that the winner’s prize car had not been presented to her.
“The winner, who is currently enjoying a contract with Ever Pure Company, would receive her car after her one year official duties.
The Dubai trip which is part of the prize package is still pending because the winner has failed to submit her passport for visa acquisition,” she noted.
Louisa Boakye disclosed that the prize car would be released to Gloria after her one year contract with Ever Pure expired, explaining that those were the terms of the agreement.
The Miss Excel reality show, which is organized by Excel Plus Production in collaboration with GBC, is to encourage full figured women to have confidence in themselves.
It also seeks to unearth talent, educate and encourage ladies to adopt healthy lifestyles which include fitness exercises and proper diets to improve upon their weight.
The maiden edition saw the exhibition of various talents from the ladies in the house, and lots of exciting and challenging moments as well.
Meanwhile, the audition for season two of the Miss Excel Plus reality show is ongoing and last Saturday the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, witnessed a historic audition with lots of excitement and fun.
The ladies were taken through lots of exercises, including a question and answer session on current affairs and other social related issues.
Louisa Boakye, who is bent on taking the event to the highest level, told BEATWAVES that the auditions for this year’s pageant had so far been very exciting, adding, “The grand one will be held on August 13 at the GBC Studio 10.”
She therefore appealed to individuals and organizations in the country to sponsor the event.
