Headline act for Adom Praiz 2011, American Praise and Worship leader, Dr Ron ‘Kweku’ Kenoly has reiterated his promise of giving patrons who will make it to the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre, a never-to-be forgotten show on Saturday. According to the 66-year-old Kenoly, who was a special guest on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM Thursday, his age notwithstanding, he will put up a great show to include his characteristic dancing steps while bringing people into the presence of God. He told Frimpong Manso Adakabre, host of Dwaso Nsem that he will immerse himself in an atmosphere of intimate praise and worship, saying in such an atmosphere, “I expect that all your loved ones that you have been praying for will give their lives to Christ.” He urged a massive attendance of the show slated for the Dome, Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday. “I can’t guarantee value for your money but it is the responsibility of the Holy Spirit to ensure that you get the worth of your 45 Ghana cedis,” he explained. Dr Kenoly arrived in Ghana Wednesday afternoon, three clear days ahead of the show to promote the event; immediately after he touched down at the Kotoka International Airport, he was whisked away to the studios of Adom FM where he appeared on the Drive programme, Ofie Kwanso with Dr Dr Asanka. He expressed his excitement at being back in Ghana again, adding that this was even more special because he was the headline artiste for Adom Praiz, the biggest gospel concert in the country dubbed. He said he was impressed at the level of development in the country since the last time he came. “I have seen improvement in the infrastructure since the last time I was here. This is really a good turn and Ghana is now an ideal destination.” Ron Kenoly added that Ghana has a lot of human trophies and a sense of nationality which made him proud to be associated with the country. “I see Ghana as a nation of leaders and with the most stable government and political system in South Saharan Africa compared to other African nations,” he said. Kweku Kenoly had earlier revealed that he had Fante roots as research he had conducted on his various visits to Ghana had shown that his ancestors from Elmina were part of those who were taken abroad during the Slave Trade. The conversation with Adakabre also revolved around his life and career, where he noted that though his life had been a mixture of highs and lows, through it all God had been good to him. “Life is a struggle, but the thing I’m excited about is that when I get too high, the heavenly Father brings me low and when I am low, I just call on Him to lift me up.” He recounted that he had tried his hands at other areas, including acting before anchoring his life entirely in singing for the Lord. He also revealed that he was interested in sports, with his favorite being basketball and American Football. Dr Ron Kenoly will be at the Silver Bird Cinema at the Accra Mall at 11 am on Friday to autograph CDs and take pictures with fans.
