Mangers of a community radio station at Effiduase in the Ashanti Region are blaming the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) for a fire outbreak which destroyed the entire station over the week-end.
Sekyere FM was gutted by fire on Saturday leaving all equipment and other property devastated. There was however no casualty.
Eye witnesses say the huge blaze left a handful of fire service personnel helpless with a faulty fire tender.
Chief Executive Officer of the station, Nana Kwame Amofa, tells Nhyira Fm the fire was triggered by frequent power fluctuation in the area.
He is already contemplating court action as management assesses the cost of damage.
