Government has sent a special message to Muslims across the country as they mark Eid al-Fitr.
A statement signed by Deputy Minister of Information, Hon. Baba Jamal congratulated all Muslims for successfully devoting themselves to Allah during the holy month of Ramadan as they fasted and interceded for Allah’s blessings for Ghana.
“On behalf of President John Evans Atta Mills, the government and people of Ghana we send you special greetings and wish all Muslims Baraka Da Salla,” the message added.
The message praised Muslims in Ghana for their contribution to national development and asked that they continue to seek the face of Allah so that more blessings will be showered on our dear nation.
Mr. Jamal added that there is no height this country cannot attain if we choose the path of discipline, dedication to humanity and belief in the direction of Allah.
The message concluded that “it is important that we take pride in and continue to deepen religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence as we all ensure that religion unites us always and never divides us.”
