The Board Chairman for Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) Prof Seth Andrew Aryeetey says he wholeheartedly forgives his detractors, who are bent on tarnishing his hard won reputation.
Prof Aryeetey said he was baffled by the kind of lies that are being peddled around to make him look like a bad person before the former honourary Director at the National Cardiothoracic Center (NCC), Prof Kwabena Frimpong Boateng - as the one who engineered his dismissal.
Rev Prof Seth Aryeetey told Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Thursday that the assertions were unfounded and described them as wicked lies, and questioned the motive behind the lies against him.
Prof Frimpong Boateng's appointment as the Honourary Director for NCC was terminated last week by the Minister of Health Joseph Yieleh Chireh.
He also denied rumours that he took advantage of his relationship with the president to scheme his way to the KBTH as the Board Chairman.
The Board Chairman for KBTH who sounded livid in the cause of the interview about the line of questioning of the host, said the host was crucifying him with his kind of questions.
"Who gave you that information, I am not the kind of person they are saying I am. These are wicked lies. I served at the World Vision International as chairman, go and ask what I did there," Prof Aryeetey noted.
"I am saying it is not true, why are you believing what they are saying, what is your agenda?" Rev Prof Aryeetey asked the host of the show.
He maintained that Prof Frimpong Boateng is his long-time friend and his wife too is a friend, adding that the two are family friends and wonders why some people want to create enmity between them.
Rev Prof Aryeetey said as a Christian, he was ready to suffer for Christ’s sake, so he was not perturbed by this development.
On claims that KBTH which size is as twice as Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), generates less revenue compared to the latter, Prof Seth Aryeetey said he is not in position to answer why KBTH is not generating much revenue.
Rev Prof Aryeetey called for the establishment of another board to have oversight responsibility of all the semi autonomous bodies located within KBTH.
