(CBS) And the Guinness Book World Record for highest-grossing actor of all time goes to... Samuel L. Jackson!
The Guinness Book has determined that Jackson's films have grossed a whopping $7.42 billion worldwide.
With movies like "Jurassic Park," "Pulp Fiction," and the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy under his belt, if you think about it, it's no surprise that Jackson received this honour. Those films alone brought in $914 million, $212 million and $2.4 billion respectively, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The actor shows no sign of stopping. He filmed six movies in 2010, four in 2011, and is already cast for three movies next year in 2012, including the much-anticipated "The Avengers" superhero film. He also took his talents to the stage and is now playing Martin Luther King Jr. in Katori Hall's "The Mountaintop" on Broadway.
