The Parent Teacher Association of the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) has handed over a newly constructed seven unit classroom block worth GH¢155,000 to the school at Legon, in Accra.
The PTA chairman, Rev. Emmanuel Ntow presented the keys to the school block to the headmaster, Mr.A.K.Anane at a meeting at the school on Saturday.
He said the classroom block was started eleven months ago through the contributions of the parents and some friends of the school who saw the need to increase the number of classroom blocks to ease congestion in the school.
The new block also has a computer laboratory fixed with 40 computers and accessories.
In his response, the headmaster, Mr.Anane thanked the PTA for their foresight and said the completion of the block had saved the school from a grave situation.
He said classroom accommodation for first year students was a major problem for the school authorities because of the large number of students that are admitted annually.
He appealed to the PTA to speed up the construction of the four storey dormitory block complex which would take about 700 students in the boarding house to ease the accommodation problem for the boarders.
