This year’s Joy FM Nite with the Stars will feature an exciting array of good music brewed from the old to the new – it promises to rekindle old rivalries and unite "warring factions".
The show has over the year’s carved a niche for itself as the ultimate showdown parading real stars of the industry – no wonder many yearn to be there.
Aside the impressive list of industry movers who will mount the stage Saturday night, the craze of the moment, Azonto, has also raised expectations.
The Joy Entertainment squad has promised an Azonto dance surprise, a surprise set to hold patrons spellbound.
You have heard the likes of Bola Ray, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, Doreen Andoh, DJ Black and a host of other renowned personalities of your super station dazzling you on-air but how best do you know their dance moves – especially when it comes to the Azonto dance.
Saturday night is the only night that the Azonto dance will be truly be defined. The dance that has got people wearing serious faces throwing their fists in the air and their body parts in varying directions at the same time – will be on stage at the Accra International Conference Centre.
On the night, the famous trinity, made up of Kokovelli, K.K. Fosu and Samini (Batman), will be resurrected. The last time the trinity mounted the stage to perform before their unexpected and dramatic ‘split’ was in 2005 – it’s been six long years – the wait is finally over and the zaaza is here!
Apart from Samini, Kokovelli and K.K. Fosu, the night holds an impressive list of a wonderful transition of exciting music from greats such as Buk Bak, Ofori Amponsah, T-Blaze, Okyeame Kwame to fresh bloods, Kofi B, Kofi Nti, Castro, Yaw Siki, Bradez and R2Bees. There is more to be served! This is just a bit!
With this thought-provoking and mouth-watering list, there is no justifiable excuse to miss out on this party of the year.
The biggest stars, a surprise Azonto show by Team Joy and a bevy of Azonto girls all under one roof – the 2011 Joy FM Nite with the Stars promises to be the best yet.
